how did this movie end

My DVR cut off the last 15 minutes of this movie. The last thing I saw happening was the Mike/BIll character frantically looking for the pistol that Kathy had hidden. Meanwhile the police officer was making his way to their cabin having been tipped off that he was the murderer the authorities were hunting.
So what happened next?
