Three Hot Guys After Jane Wyman??

This was a cute movie, but I couldn't help but think there were a lot of actresses in 1951 who could pull off the role of Marcy better than Jane Wyman. Wyman was a talented actress, but much better suited to her sensitive roles like in "Johnny Belinda" or "The Glass Menagerie." For one thing, at 37 she is much too old to be playing the part of a brand-new stewardess who is in her young twenties! Also, I had a hard time believing these three successful, handsome men would all be that enthralled by her.

I would have picked Janet Leigh, who would have been 24 at the time. She was stunning looking but could also play the perky, lovable qualities of Marcy. I could also see Jeanne Crain in the role; she would have been 26 at the time. Or June Haver.
