Nice to actually SEE Paul Frees for once

His voice talent is used in so many films, but doesn't usually get full frontal screen time like he does in this great film. It was always obvious he loved the sound of his voice as much as everybody else did.

He could read the ingredients off a cereal box and make it interesting.

Yes I agree, I always wondered what he looked like. As soon as you hear that voice you recognize that you've heard it a million times, in movies, commercials, cartoons...wasn't his the voice of Boris on the old Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoon show?

reply

Yes he IS the voice of Boris Badenov; also, for some reason, he was always the 'go to' guy when it came to dubbing Toshiro Mifune's voice into English.

He also does the voice-over narration on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland, and also the one at Disneyworld, as I recall...

reply

Frees is also in the original War Of The Worlds and is the voice over in Disney's Donald In Mathmagic Land.

You can see him briefly in "Suddenly" with Frank Sinatra and Sterling Hayden; he's one of the bad guys at the beginning.
