My least favorite Martin + Lewis film

I am a huge fan of Martin & Lewis, and live most of their films... But this one fails on nearly every level ... 1st off the plot gets too serious which makes it so uneven ... They had so much they could have used to make this movie funny but it fails miserably . When you watch their funniest films, like Sailor Beware ( A Classic) and Scared Stiff and Artists and Models you see true chemistry in this film nothing ... This could have been so funny but the sympathy shtick kills me ... You want to see the best Martin and Lewis film watch Sailor Beware... And you'll see why they were such a big success!!!

I think it's a worthwhile film if only (a) to warn parents away from trying to relive their own youth through forcing their kids into activities that the parents aspired to, and (b) for the great Eddie Mayhoff (Jerry's overbearing father).
