So is this movie affiliated with Sam Fuller in any way?

He always has a character named "Lemcheck" in his war movies--and this move has a "Lemcheck".

Why can't you wretched prey creatures understand that the Universe doesn't owe you anything!?

That's an interesting quirk. I'll have to check out some of his other stories.

Apparently he was the writer of the story this movie was based on.

There was a Lemcheck mentioned in 'Big Red One', a Lemcheck in Steel Helmet, and one in Merrill's marauders.

I hadn't visited this board in several weeks and did realize you'd asked this question. Fuller is credited with writing the story, hence his signature Lemchek character.
