Jeffers fires point blank at Kennedy, no harm done because Kennedy had "removed the lead".

This is one of the reasons people get seriously wounded or killed by blanks, because Hollywood often presents them as harmless.

They are far from harmless.

I've heard that, but Jeffers wasn't close enough to Kennedy to do any damage. From what I've heard blanks are dangerous when the weapon comes into contact with the victim's body.
