...but the detective's name was John Kennedy? That's pretty eerie, considering all of the "coincidences" between Kennedy and Lincoln.

The web page mentioned cannot be found. I would like to see this movie if it might be available for rental in an old movie store, but doubt it. I missed it on TCM in 2008, that's 2 years ago.
Movies taking place on trains are always exciting. Those mentioned left out one very important one: "The Lady Vanishes".

Thanks-I just spent ten minutes cleaning coffee off of the screen! Tell your attorneys to get busy working up a lawsuit, 'cause I'm using that as a tag line.

Wasn't true anyway, Marilyn Monroe died over a year before the JFK assassination.

The cable guide description, John Kennedy, saves Abe Lincoln, was enough for me to watch this movie. Before I watched this movie I watched a Travel Channel "Mysteries at the Museum' episode about Pinkerton woman agent escorting A.Lincoln .I knew I must watch this movie. This movie is close enough to Travel Channel story to be true.Ruby Dee is outstanding.

Captain Obvious,
No one had mentioned it because it and all the other fascinating coincidences have been repeated to death.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.

I thought so too, but there's some posters here who think this story is fiction. This film is not fiction, it's based on the "Baltimore Plot" to assassinate Lincoln (SPOILERS in this Wiki link):https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tall_Target.
