Nice movie surprise!

I'd never heard of this but I stumbled across the full movie on Youtube and decided to watch as I've enjoyed everything else I've seen Jeanne Crain in.

This turned out to be a surprising little gem of a movie and great snapshot into early 50s upper class college culture with a great screenplay and great acting from all the actors. It's a shame it seems to be relatively forgotten. I wish I could get a hold of the original book by Peggy Goodwin as it apparently goes into a bit more into the racial and religious discrimination but it appears to be long out of print.

I thought you were going to say that Mrs. Thurston Howell III was the house mother. I loved that. Am a big fan of Jeanne Crain too.

Not a bad movie, entertaining to be sure. But you have to agree there is a lot of unintended humor, such as the sorority name Tri-U (try you?), and the fact that several girls spoke of Midwestern U as being "back East."

Came for Jeanne Crain, stayed for "Casey" and the Mitzi Gaynor character. This movie was a real hoot. It kind of reminds me of Amanda Bines' ( ) Sydney White.
