Differences between this feature and the TV edit

Someone on one of these boards has asked what the differences are between the feature film "Superman and the Mole Men" and the 2-episodes of "The Unknown People" that concluded Season 1 of TAOS.

Basically, the feature is just a tiny bit longer. There is a conversational exchange between the oil field boss and the old watchman that is in the feature but is not in the episode. This occurs just before Lois and Clark arrive.

Just after Superman rescues the wounded mole-man from being shot off of the dam, the chase of the other little man goes a bit longer. There is a humorous bit of the mole-man coming upon a hobo, frightening him, that is not in the TV episode. This occurs just before the mole-man is trapped in the shed, and the shed is set afire.

Of course, the narrated recap that opens Episode 2 does not exist in the feature.

Other than these instances, the two versions are pretty much the same. Please post any discrepencies you may have noticed that I missed.

The TV version omits Lois describing the creatures after first seeing them. Later, a scene in which Superman tries to persuade Lois not to call in a story about them is removed. Other brief snippets are missing as well. One strange difference is in the scene in which Lois and Clark drive out to the drilling site at night--the shot of their car pulling up is darkened ("day for night") in the TV version, but not the feature version.

Also, the musical score was replaced with the music library cues used in the tv series. Actually, I think this worked much better to heighten the drama
