My God the carrousel scene was so ridiculous it was laughable lol

So the cop accidentally shoots the carrousel operator with such a woefully misplaced shot leading to the mayhem that follows and I guess that is just conveniently forgotten about lol

And why would a carrousel be built with such a dangerously top speed

A silly conclusion that helped Strangers on a Train become the 3rd biggest hit of 1951 and Hitchcock's biggest hit in years -- he knew that "action sells." The next year Hitchcock made the dour religious thriller I Confess(with no major climax at all) and...no box office. Good movie, though.
