Has anyone seen this film lately?

I remember seeing this film back in the late '60s early '70s on a local channel's afternoon movie but have not seen it since. To my knowledge it has not played on cable/satellite and is not available on video.

I have the film. It is rare. Someone made me a copy of it. I put a couple of clips on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bebOfmWRbyY

Supposedly it is coming out on dvd this year (2008).

I haven't seen it since the late 60's on local TV, and then it was cut to shreds to fit a short time slot!

It's coming to DVD on April 7, 2009; as part of the box set TCM Spotlight: Doris Day Collection; also featuring April in Paris, It's a Great Feeling, Tea for Two and The Tunnel of Love.

It was on TCM last week.

It is showing on TCM as I type.

This is a (very) lesser entry in the Doris Day collection. Dull and dated. Everyone looks so frumpy and amateurish, dull black and white, a tedious big fat kiss to the military. Doris Day looks awful!

If you FF>> through the tedious musical numbers, It's a surprisingly enjoyable piece of fluff.

reply

Only if you FF from beginning to end. I'm watching (or trying to) now, on TCM. Dreadful.
