Who's Diary? [spoiler?]

Who's diary is it? I thought it was Henrik's, but some of the synopses of the film I've read say 'her lover's' and some say 'her' old diary...

At first I thought it was his, Henrik's, but at the end when she says something like 'not so sad really, really quite glad' in voice over I thought that must have been her memory of a final entry in her diary.

After all Henrik was quite a tiresome boy.

It's Henrik's diary, although the whole diary thing is considered a weak plot element in the film. How is it that the diary tells Marie's latter boyfriend anything about Marie's bitterness--which couldn't be in it considering the chronology of the film--even though the film implies that this is exactly what that later boyfriend ends up learning about her by reading it. Also, it's kind of a stretch that it wound up at the hospital or that Marie's uncle would steal it from the hospital room. All in all one of the poorly thought-out elements in an otherwise beautiful little film.
