Didn't Ava Gardner Win an Oscar?
I always thought that Ava won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in Show Boat? However, she is not listed as such on this IMDB listing. So, I guess my conception was wrong.
shareAva would be nominated in the leading category for Mogambo in 1954. She was not nominated for Show Boat. The supporting award went to Kim Hunter for A Streetcare Named Desire that year.
However, Edmund O'Brien won a supporting actor Oscar for The Barefoot Contessa that starred Ava.
