I don't know about anyone else, but I just love Marge and Gower Champion.
Whenever I discuss my favorite dancers, their names are always on my list.

I am always amazed at just how effortless they make their routines look, but how much strength and stamina they had to have to keep up those high kicks.

She is just adorable in this movie, :)
and his is SO handsome! ;)

I've seen "Showboat" so many times, but if it's on (as it is right now),
I just have to watch. Can't "not" watch The Champions as well as the other actors.

Real talent.

They just don't make them like that anymore... *sigh*...

I so agree with you! Marge and Gower Champion's dancing is amazing. No one could dance like them! Marge is so adorable, I agree! I've seen this movie a million times and never tire of it. It's so amazingly beautiful. Love it!
And so true, they certainly don't make them like that at all anymore. Most of todays films are garbage, a waste of time and money. Give me the golden era of Hollywood anytime. :-)

And after movies he went to an even greater career as a choreographer on Broadway....died too young. So handsome, too!

The routine using the striped umbrella as a prop, spinning it overhead to one another must have taken a TON of rehearsal to get right.

I just managed to catch their 'Life Upon The Wicked Stage' routine in this movie. If this is anything to go by, they were a terrific team who could put humour into their choreography.
