Atmospheric, idealistic, superb acting and sound and special effects- this gem absolutely blew me away- a veritable forgotten treasure IMHO.

Agreed, this movie is a forgotten treasure.
At first, I did not think I was in the mood to watch a 'war' movie.
Fortunately I enjoyed every minute of this film!
