Kind of amazing how much incorrect and uninformed stuff being said about people. Ever heard of research? E.A.Dupont was once a major international movie figure, in Germany in the twenties.He came to America when the Nazis took over, like many others. His career was derailed supposedly when he slapped a spoiled brat Dead End Kid during a WB film in the late thirties.(Nobody says,but undoubtedly it must have been Leo Gorcey,whose obnoxious quotient was always quite high). He finally got to do several very bottom drawer pictures like this one, in the fifties. Ultimately he was canned for being drunk on the set of some piece of junk.James Barton,a major Broadway performer, dabbled in movies at the end of his life. He starred in Paint Your Wagon as Ben Rumson,a role Lee Marvin destroyed decades later in the movie. He also played the main role (Jasper Deeter) in a very successful revival of Tobacco Road.
