I agree but I would include her in that sentence too. People who cheat on their spouses just think they're going to have a little fun, fill the void, make up for their loneliness, or whatever but affairs open the door for a situation like we see in the movie. The affair, in itself, is indication they want the person out of the way but also want to hold on to them for a reason. That's a dangerous combination because one or both of the parties in the affair will reach a point where the person is worth more dead to them than alive.
