Hi, mrplankton, I,too, have seen many of Mr. Hope's films, although far from all, especially the really early ones. As for his having played any other villains in movies, I really can't think of one. The closest that comes to mind might be in "Paleface", where Bob stumbles into appearing to be a seasoned, "bad guy" gunfighter, who everyone's afraid of. Of course, it's just an act he has to keep up because in reality he's just a cowardly dentist! If you haven't seen "Paleface" try to catch it sometime. It's one of Hope's funniest, and which also was one of the biggest hits of his career.

hallo jackbuckley278- thank u kindly for the reply in regards my question. i daresay there are certain actors who almost always play the hero rather than the villian- cary grant comes to mind. i dont beleive i have seen paleface but i shall endeavour to do so as it sounds like quite a riot !

cheers
