What a fun movie...doesnt John Lund look like the late John Ritter? Anyone else see a resemblence? Love Thelma in this movie - the absolute perfect match of movie/character for her.

I think he did look like her. The casting was perfect, if only they'd chosen someone besides Miriam Hopkins as Gene's mother!
