Hopkins walks in as Tierney hangs up with Lund after they have an argument over the phone. Hopkins asks who was that and Tierney says "It was the chicken man. He had priors." What does that mean? Was the chicken man the butcher? If so, are priors old meat?

shareMaybe you were reading off the Closed Captioning? The Closed Captioning had it incorrect (as they sometimes are apt to do). The CC read, "That was... that was just the chicken man. They had some priors."
If you replay it and listen, and watch her lips, you can see/hear that she says, "That was... that was just the chicken man. They had some fryers." So it must have been the poultry guy at the local butcher shop telling her that they had some fryers in.
(I've seen some amazingly weird Closed Captioning mistakes over the years...)
