shareI just watched that picture on TCM. The ending was ridiculous. Why did Ruby Stevens make that stinker?
shareIt was a short story. And a prize-winning one at that. Unfortunately making a full-lenght film meant that the mystery and the twist were lost. Try reading the story. It's called "The Gentleman from Paris." I know you know the ending but you might appreciate that the ending wasn't ridiculous at all - just ruined by being dragged out.
shareWe are also fortunate that TCM shows this movie fairly often.
