I gave it an 8 for that reason. Marilyn Monroe played grown up rather well and didn't portray an airhead at all.
Her bathing costume was tame. How things have changed since those days.

I could only muster up 2 stars for it b/c I absolutely hated the lead couple and the whole movie was dull & the same old cliches and just dreadful to get thru. MM was the only shining spots, but she wasn't in it enough - had she gotten more screen time, I would've gladly rated this higher. But as it is, this film is a total waste of time.
