When I was 11 it was the best movie I'd seen thus far. For sure the main character was the Waterfall which impressed me and kept haunting me for decades on end until I recetly saw it again. Still the same... Great fresh water body. I wonder now where all tha huge thing came from. For starters, it never rained in the movie.

We have no such mighty waterfall anywhere in the British Isles. It was, in fact, the falls in Yosemite National Park (see opening titles of the film) that were used as the backdrop.
