Any copies of 'I was an American Spy'?

I am looking for any copy of the I was an American Spy. Anyone know of where I can find it? My wife's mother was the actual Fely, and we would like to get the movie.

I just read Claire Phillips's (Upper Pocket) story on a website, and I find it strange that the idea of a remake for this movie isn't put into action. Holywood has been good to us in the past 10 years we've seen great remakes for movies much less importand to I was an American Spy. I'm in Egypt but I would certainly hope that if anyone who reads this has connections to big production companies, if the idea is laid infront of them, I'm sure they can come up with a great movie that will truly cherich this great woman's revenge for her love and for her country. If anyone can forward this to the proper authorities I'm sure someone may see some sence in this.

I wrote the American Film Institute for help finding the film, here is their answer in January 2007. Thank you to a poster previously regarding Warner Bros address, I will contact them also!

"Thank you for contacting AFI about the film I WAS AN AMERICAN SPY. A member of our staff was able to view the film in the mid-1990s when we cataloged the films of the 1950s but, unfortunately, it was a copy supplied directly to the staff member by a now retired archivist at Warner Bros. Although I personally had seen the film many, many years ago on television, as far as we can tell, it has not been made available for television for decades and is not available on VHS.

You may be surprised to learn that we have had many requests for this film over the years, and we are very sorry not to be able to help you, especially, with your personal connection.

I will put your name and email address in our internal database and would be more than happy to contact you if and when we hear about copies available to the public.

Sincerely,

Patricia King Hanson
Executive Editor and Project Director
AFI Catalog of Feature Films "
