the glass of orange juice ( possible spoilers)

I just watched this for the first time.......really great, esp the ending. I am confused

When Alan at first goes back to the library to put out his smoke, he comes back up with Victoria to bed......he then takes the pitcher from his butler closes the door and puts it down

then he pours ONLY ONE glass..he didn't pour his.......he walks with it and this must be when he puts the sleeping pills in it........then he , I think, leaves the room, I think he went to the library to hear Vic trying to make a call on the receiver laying on the table.......

and then he does return

He then takes the orange juice and makes her drink it.....I thought, surely, she would have some idea hes crazy and put something in her drink

She drank hers , only after he poured himself a new fresh glass from the pitcher.....what happened, how did he end up drinking the poison....how did she take her original tainted glass of juice and manage to keep hers clean and his contaminated with the pills?

Im confused...........

She explains in the film that when he left the room, she poured herself a fresh glass of juice and poured her glass back into the pitcher. She used a second glass to do this.

Just watched this little gem and I'm confused as well about the glass/glasses. There would have to have been a third glass or "Karin" would have to have cleaned her glass after pouring a fresh glass of Orange Juice. Tiny plot hole in an otherwise good movie.
