There were a number of messages about Hong Kong awhile back but they seem to have disappeared.

This is one of Ronald Reagan's better movies and I taped it on VHS back in the day and kept it. Regarding Indiana Jones,Steven Spielberg created an outstanding character and franchise what had a number of imitations and TV shows related to it. I am not sure if he was aware of it but whoever did the wardrobe of Indiana Jones must have been channeling Ronald Reagan because his outfit is almost the same as what Harrison Ford wore as Indiana Jones. Being the good liberal that he is, I am sure Mr.Spielberg will never admit it that that little detail got past him. Well done everyone anyway.

It's eerily similar. Plus the costume that Charlton Heston wore in 'SECRET OF THE INCAS' was an obvious inspiration for Indiana Jones' appearance as well. It's funny that this fedora-jacket combo has been around longer than I think people remember. Gary Cooper had it in 'FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS'. Meanwhile Alan Ladd looked the same in 'CHINA' (1943) and his character was named David JONES!
