.........Dan Milner (Mitchum) put his worn out, scuffed up, run over, needed polishing, stinky shoe....in the middle of that table during the card game!

I thought that was sooo funny; and I just loved how he helped out the young husband of the honeymooning couple, win that game....and get out of hock!

It immediately reminded me of how Humphrey Bogart's character helped out the young, just married couple in "Casablanca."

His characters always seem to have that 'heart'. I loved that he helped the couple.
