Dead End Kids and other thoughts

Why aren't the Dead End Kids (Leo Gorcey, Huntz Hall, et al) credited? Also, its ironic that in the movie Garfield says that he cannot fight because his physician said he had a bad heart. Ironically, Garfield died the next year of a heart attack. A very sad loss. Garfield did a lot for Hollywood and this country, of particular note, he and Bette Davis were responsible for the Hollywood Canteen to entertain soldiers during World War II.

Y' think maybe the fact that the Dead End Kids were, well, certainly no longer "kids" by this time had anything to do with it?
Also, does anyone know of a way to get this one on DVD? It is the only one of the 3 Bob Roberts/John Garfield combinations that I have not yet seen and I just simply want to own it outright (along with 'Body and Soul' and 'Force of Evil'). I would surely appreciate any help.

Because you are in the wrong movie...
The one you are referencing is "They Made Me A Criminal....dead end kids and Claude Rains...He was a boxer and is on the lam. Rains is a cop...
He ends up on a date farm where the kids all work..

Pretty sure you wont see this reply since it's over a year ago that you posted.

Well, I doubt you'll read this, but you brought up a pretty good movie. At least in my memory it is - all sunshine and drama . . . They Made Me a Criminal.
