A must for Ginger Rogers completists.

I love Ginger Rogers. I've seen every one of her films save one. I'm completely biased when it comes to Miss Rogers. To me she can do no wrong.
I'm still a bit mystified by this particular entry in her filmography.
I agree with some of the user reviews of this film in that it doesn't seem to fit a star of Ginger's stature. It definitely has a low budget, B-movie feel to it.
Ginger did the best she could with the material of course. It's a nice little story with not a lot of substance and some irritating characters. I never liked Jack Carson as a leading man for Ginger, or even as a secondary love interest. She was paired with him several times, see 'Lucky Partners', 'Having Wonderful Time', etc. There's not a lot of chemistry between them, and in this film in particular, you wonder why and how a goddess like her would ever fall for this blow hardy, kind of dim, not-that-attractive guy (!?!).
I liked this movie, because Ginger is lovely, charming and amusing. If you're a huge Ginger fan or particularly fond of B westerns from the 50s, then it's a high recommend.
