what does Go For Broke mean?

I hear it in alot of Japanese video games and wrestling. What does it mean?

it's a hawaiian term for "all in" or something like that.

"Go For Broke" literally means "all or nothing." It's a pidgin English gambling term from Hawaii - you win or you lose everything. It's what the guys in the 100th Battalion (Nisei from Hawaii), soon expanded to the 442nd Regimental Combat Team (including mainland Nisei) featured in the movie, were facing. Ironically, for them it was truly "go for broke," and not just a unit motto.

You'll find that, for the Nisei, it was more than just a movie.
