Which one is Brian Keith?

He's listed as an extra but I couldn't spot him

I believe he may be the guy who plays a joke on the photographer by shouting that the guy on the ledge has jumped and is headed straight for him; it may the same character who later warns Robert that the cops are trying to get to him from above.

The guy who plays the joke on the photographer is Robert Shawley who played Blondie Peterson in "Stalag 17". He was an incredibly handsome platinum blond Greek god who couldn't possibly look less like Brian Keith! Everyone else in the movie looks more like Brian Keith than he does....jeez, even Grace Kelly looks more like Brian Keith than he does. Maybe some new glasses are in order....seriously.

My vote: At the 70-minute mark, the technician in the checked jacket, monitoring the TV cameras. A few brief profiles, but no lines.

It could even be the guy who turns on the first searchlight or one of the cops who haul in the large net, it's a mystery that will probably never be solved since Mr. Keith is no longer with us.

I'm pretty sure Brian Keith is the police officer who brings a towel to wrap around Paul Douglas' leg when the other policeman is about to tie the safety rope to Douglas.

reply

Well I''m watching it now, so I'll let you amateurs know as soon as I spot him.

You are absolutely correct, there is no "mystery" about it as other posters have said. Brian Keith is instantly recognizable as the cop who brings in the towel. He's credited as an extra, and has no lines.

It's far from "a mystery that will never be solved", lol. Brian Keith is instantly recognizable as the cop who brings in a towel to protect a cop's leg from the pull of a safety rope.

reply

You already said that.
