Is there a black Martian?

Please correct me if I'm wrong. But I am quite certain that when the Martians meet and greet the space travellers, one of the Martians is a black man. Watch closely the Martian in the teal space suit. It seems like the filmmakers have later tried to edit him out of the picture. When they all enter the elevator the picture seems oddly cropped: The Martian in the teal suit stands to the right of the screen, but you don't see much more than his right arm, and his face seems to have been deliberately cropped out. One wonders if there was at some point an idea to show Mars as a multi-ethnic society, but the idea was then dropped as all other Martian actors were white.

If i'm right, does anyone have any information on who the actor is?
