more musical numbers needed

More musical numbers were needed to off-set the "drag=gy" story line and slow direction. I mean geez: you still had Sinatra sounding great and Russell being no slouch in the singing department. And off course the wonderful Grouch doing his particular brand of musical magic. I'm sure everyone who's ever seen this movie feels the same way. Also the original title "It's Only Money" was better than DD. I'm sure the culprit for the bad choices for the movie would have to be Howard Hughes for meddling in the process.

It's Only Money would have been a better title, I agree.

I don't know if I would have wanted more of these songs. None of them are very good. But then the plot and the wisecracks aren't very good either. As Gene Siskel might have said, I would have rather just watched Frank, Jane and Groucho having lunch.

...Justin Glory be, Delbert, you should eat! You're a count, for God's sake!

I would have liked less songs actually. I thought it was a pretty funny light comedy, it would have been even better with Harpo and Chico. I don't really get the title at all.

The Dude abides. I don't know about you but I take comfort in that.

It needed better and more musical numbers, and a better script, and a better director, and then it might have worked. There were too many problems with this film to just add more songs or musical sequences to make it better.
