Obejective Burma and Northwest Passage

Did anybody notice this is a remake of Errol Flynn's Objective Burma which somebody called a remake of Northwest Passage? Give me Spencer Tracy, Robert Young and Walter Brennan. There are some similaries, though.
A fried of mine who lives in Idaho told me NP was filmed near where Hemmingway "accidentally" killed himself years ago.
