Restored. DVD release next!?

This film has been restored in 2009. When we may look forward to a DVD/Blu-ray release?

Great news! CRY DANGER is finally coming out on blu-ray on October 15th, 2013.

It's been delayed -- for the second time. First, Olive changed the date to January 21, 2014. Now it's been pushed back again, to April 8, 2014. The assumption is this is due to the amount of restoration work necessary.

This also affects two other Olive titles scheduled for same-day release, also put back twice: Young at Heart and The Bamboo Saucer.

Thanks for the info Hobnob. Man, how I was looking forward to getting a copy of CRY DANGER this month. Now it is a six month wait. Still, if it is the restoration they are working on, then patience will have to be a virtue.

True. But perhaps in the meantime they'll put out some other good titles.

If restoration really is an issue, presumably it'd be for all three films -- I can't see why they'd hold up all of them if only one, or even two, needed more work. Or maybe Olive simply has a backlog or scheduling problems. Whatever, hopefully they'll stick to April 8.

Six months is a long delay, but then think how quickly time has flown since last April! I mean, if we were the astronauts in Marooned or something, six months would be a disappointment, but for most of us....
