___Currently on YouTube, this is a pretty good flick, perhaps one of Dick Powell's best. His cool demeanor is just about peaked in this role. When he tells his marine buddy, "Nice car. I understand these cost money now" after getting out of jail, the camera pulls back to show what is possibly the ugliest car ever built, a 49 or 50 Two door Nash. But, in it's day they thought that design was advanced.
___There are a lot of great lost scenes of old Los Angeles. The tallest building for years was City Hall, along with the Hall of Justice seen in everything from Mildred Pierce to I Love Lucy.
