They worked at a grocery a couple of miles away from me in Charlotte

...at the time of their deaths. They were cashiers at the Park n' Shop on South Blvd when I was in 8th grade. One would operate the register and the other would bag the groceries. I remember the radio ad on WBT, some sprightly-sounding old man saying on the hour, "It's 5:00! Park n' Shop time, featuring 12-oz rib-eye steaks, 99 cents a pound," etc.

If you put me on ignore, then how can I notify you when I win the lottery?

I was saddened to read about the sisters, troubled, sad and fairly short lives.I watched this movie out of curiosity, since I heard about them, back in the 70's.They seemed like nice people..This movie was made in my birth year....

Well, the poor women had to survive somehow. I don't think Social Security would consider that condition as handicapped, would it? Even if it did, who can survive on Social Security alone these days.

That is true. This is why we need to eliminate SS, TANF, Food Stamps, and all other welfare programs, and replace them with a more efficient and CHEAPER to the taxpayer way of eliminating poverty once and for all, practically overnight. The Basic Income Guarantee. Yeah, you've never heard of it, and don't expect to in a country where the wealthy owns the so-called "liberal" media. You might want to look it up on the internet.
