Well it's a pleasant-enough little picture with very nice location cinematography but the story itself is probably more geared to the kiddie set than the adult western fan. Borderline saccharine in a few places. Definitely safe viewing for the entire family, the Cleaver family.

shareAbsolutely loved this movie, just watched it tonight on Encore Westerns. Joel McCrea, as usual, was pitch perfect and he had such father-son/best friend chemistry with Dean Stockwell. I thought the ending was perfect, I will admit to getting emotional watching the three of them ride off into the sunset. Great film!!!
