I'm surprised this hasn't been remade.

Something a bit less corny, and more funny, would be a hit.

As a period piece? There are no cowboy shows on and it would be difficult to spoof that now.What's there to remake?

Perhaps a sci fi storyline... something like Lost in Space or Galaxy Quest. In general, I'm not a fan of remakes, but if they did it without resorting to potty jokes or an explosion fest, it could work.

Yes, a funny remake -- something with Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence in fat suits and throwing up and farting a lot. Maybe Jim Carrey in a 10-gallon hat and pulling a lot of faces too.
