One of his best.

I just bought this film, though the quality of it is not too good, after all it is 55 years old. It is a magnificent film and in my opinion one of Robert Stacks best. Why they don't clean it up digitally and put it on a DVD I'll never know. I think it could still hold a modern audience. There is not one minute of the film that is boring or tiresome and the music is superb too.

I completely agreee -- it's a wonderful film. I wasn't nearly expecting to like it as much as I did. I was thinking we were supposed to like the American friends of Robert Stack (the Floods) but the really interesting characters, in addition to Anita and Johnny, were Manolo and Chelo. Well-acted, fascinating, and I agree not one minute of the film was boring. I found the bullfighting scenes unbelievably fascinating, and though there are long sequences of them in this film, they never got dull. It was quite amazing to see Robert Stack do at least a large percentage of his own bullfighting -- there were some cutaways, but often it was a shot that couldn't be doctored and you could see Robert Stack was passing the cape over the bull. Amazing. They'd never make a film like this today (cruelty to animals, which I am of course against) but it was still fascinating to watch this film. I recommend to to anyone interested in the sport of bullfighting, or who likes Robert Stack. Some of the characterizations of lower-class Mexicans are offensive, which was to be expected for the time the film was made.
