Are there any copies of this movie out there?

My mother is 73 years old, and she saw this movie when it first came out at the movies. For more years than I can remember, she has told me, this was the "best" movie she ever saw. I have been looking in vain for a copy to surprise her with. There are not many things you can get a person my mom's age, and it be something they actually want. Is this movie ever shown on any TV staion, anywhere? Is there anyway to get a copy? Thanks! [email protected]

My uncle bought my aunt a copy on ebay for 55 bucks so, you can try there. Or if all else fails he may be able to copy it and sell it to you. If interested, contact me at [email protected]

I just happened onto this sight and saw your msg about you may be able to make a copy of the blue veil. When I was young, we are talking the 60's, my mom had me watch this movie, it was on the show "million dollar movie", which aired the same movie every night for an entire week. This series ended on Sunday which they re-ran the movie all day long. It probably aired 6 or 8 times on Sunday. I watched every showing that week and never saw it again. I am now 50+, and have been telling this story all these years, knowing I would probably never see it again. Please contact me with the particulars on how to get a copy....Thanks Vincent

Hi Vincent- I saw this movie with my mother also, either on The Million Dollar Movie or Dialing For Dollars. I would love my daughter to see it. Some of my most favorite memories of my mother were watching old tear jerker movies with her. I loved Million Dollar Movie and I think I saw Joan of Arc with Ingrid Bergman many times. I hope you get your copy of the movie. It was one of my favorites- Eileen

I would be very interested in getting a copy of The Blue Veil. It too became an obsession with me. I saw it as a little girl with my mother and grandmother and would dearly love to see it again.

I too bought a copy on e-bay for 90 bucks. I am dealing with the seller now about the copy as there is a chunk of the film missing which does not please me, however there is another seller who sold 2 and I e-mailed the buyers to see how their copy is. Every comment I read is the same about this film, we all watched it in the sixties and it left an indelible impression in our minds for the rest of our lives. Finding it became an obsession for me. Hi I would really love to have a copy of this movie. I too have seen this movie with my mother and grandmother when I was ten years old. I would have to convert it to PAL to watch it in the UK - but it would be a lifelong dream if I could get a copy.

Can you really help?

Yes, there is a way to get a copy of this movie. At least, according to a message left on my answering machine by a private collector 2 days ago. (I've been searching for this film for months.) I haven't had time to actually place my order yet, but will do that very soon. Details available upon request.

Hello:

I received a copy of it from a collector recently (late Aug. '04) but the quality of video wasn't that great. Seller included a friendly apologetic note, saying he'd thought he could get me a better copy. Video & sound quality were "passable" (watchable) though it would have been much more enjoyable if it were a better quality. This is a great movie.

I looked up THE BLUE VEIL there and they were offering it for $24.95, plus Shipping. Possible to pay for it using PayPal. The person who recommended this on-line service to me said that she'd always had good experiences with them.

If you're still searching for this movie, that might be worth a try.
