Spoiler: question on ending?

After watching the movie, I thought for a bit. After Kirk gives his big mountain speech, and tells everyone to go home, he heads back to the shop. After about 5 minutes at most, they exit the shop, and all of the cars (and even the drilling equipment) is miraculously gone already!! Regardless, I guess they decided to leave Leo buried, even after the drill was only 10 feet above him? A loop that they may have forgot to close!
