Barbara Billingsley (Mom on Leave it to Beaver) was the hat check girl, when i first saw this film (today on TCM) i said wow i think that is Barbara and i came to IMDB to find out and i was right, this movie for me was better than the 1990s remake.

I'm surprised that although Barbara had two close up shots (from her right rear side) each lasting about 10 seconds, she did not have any lines.

I think actors have to be paid more money if they have spoken lines. I guess that might apply to "extras" as well.

Good catch, I thought the exact same thing today (4/1/2013)when I saw the movie on TCM.
