Easter Parade

and tied for fifth place are:

Seven Brothers for Seven Brides
Meet Me in St Louis
Top Hat
Flying down to Rio
The Gay Divorcee
For Me and My Gal

and the ones for honorable mention are:

the 4 Mickey and Judy musicals

State Fair (1945)
Holiday Inn
The Wizard of Oz
High Society

This is so hard b/c i'm kinda new to musicals. I never really liked them at all, but since i;m getting into classic old films, a lot of them were musicals, so now i'm really loving musicals. So this is my four, but it will probably be tweaked since i still have lots of musicals 2 see.lol

1) Sound of Music-This will probably always be my #1 fav musical
2) Singing in the Rain-This movie was the first movie I ever saw with Gene Kelly in it, and now i'm in luv wit him 4ever.lol
3) An American in Paris- again, Gene Kelly, so HOTT!!! and a fabolous, amazing dancer.
4) Easter Parade- Luv Fred Astaire. Luv him in this film. Not 2 say that i'm happy that Gene Kelly broke his ankle and Astaire had 2 come out of retirement 2 play this part, but i'm glad he was in the movie.

4) In The Good Old Summertime-such a sweet film. luv judy garland and van johnson in this.
5) Swing Time- the first film i saw with the pairing of Astaire/Rogers. Loved it!
6) Holiday Inn-that scene Astaire does with the firecrackers-genius

The Red Shoes, while utterly brilliant, isn't really a musical in the sense of the other mentioned here. There's dancing but I don't recall any "break into song" moments.
