Love, Love, Love this movie

A thread where people can discuss what they love about this fabulous classic

I've seen this film before, but I caught the last 50 minutes on TCM the other night. I'll just mention a few of the things I love about this movie:

The color is eye popping.

The singing and dancing sequences are superb.

The art direction presents an idealized, charming view of Paris. This is Porn for Francophiles.

The final ballet sequence makes my heart soar. Pauline Kael (what a cranky itch-bay she could be) wrote: "Too fancy and overblown ....". Too fancy? I think it's brilliant: a great synthesis of high AND low dance, from classical ballet to vaudeville hoofing.

Has anyone seen the theatre reboot?
