March Hare the Inspiration for Roger Rabbit?

I'm a huge Who Framed Roger Rabbit fan, and after watching Alice, I can't help but wonder if the creatives for the former took some inspiration for Roger's design from the March Hare. I know that a lot of Roger's design came from Droopy (the hair), Mickey (the gloves), and other classic cartoon stars, but he also bears a strong resemblance to the March Hare in this film. They both have that little tuft of hair between their ears, the bow tie, and the overall zany personality. Anyway, like I said, I know Roger's design came mainly from the "Golden Age of Cartoons"-style characters, but I can't help but think they took some inspiration from this film as well.

I think some of Roger's "ear gags" were definitely inspired by the March Hare.

Good observation. I never thought of it that way before. I definitely wouldn't be surprised to find out that they took some inspiration from the March Hare when creating Roger Rabbit.
