Ricardo Montalban seriously injured in this film

After reading the bio on Ricardo Montalban I learned "it was in Across the Wide Missouri that he suffered a serious injury to his spine (which resulted in a permanent limp) after a fall from a horse during filming."

This movie was so bad, he should have died of shame.
Not really. This movie was SO bad it was almost good.

Ive just watched this movie and I think we watched different films, I thought it was a very good and moving film.
