I watched this show every Saturday morning when I was a kid in the 50s. I remember that Sky's nephew Clipper was a pilot who often flew the Songbird.
Was there ever an episode where Sky's niece Penny flew the Songbird?
If there was, I can't remember it.
Penny frequently flew the Songbird. Certainly not every episode, but I'd bet she did in 10 or 15 of them. She even flew the Songbird in a debutantes' race in one show.

If you are referring to the episode "Sky Robbers" wherein Penny flew in the debutantes' race, she did not fly the Songbird but another aircraft. Sky flew the Songbird in another race at that airshow.
The plane she flew had a force field in the cockpit that negated inertia and allowed her to sit comfortably when the plane was flying and turning at high speeds instead of pinning her against the seat.
True,aa56. It also allowed her to fly with just one hand while she held the mic and chatted with Sky on the ground.

Clipper had a horse and used it to sometimes meet Sky at points of trouble.
As a kid I really had trouble accecpting the change from the White Songbird to the new darker one. LOL
Oh well it made for a great Saturday morning in the fifties ! I liked the white songbird because it looked sleek and could bank and dive better. Or at least I thought so.
