I hadn't seen the show in probably 50 years until Montgomery College(Rockville, Md) ran it a few nights ago after midnight. It's like watching one of Rogers' westerns with the songs cut out. He uses a number of actors from the Saturday natinee serials and westerns such as Reed Howes, Robert Wilke, William Fawcett, stuntman Dale van Sickel and I. Stanford Jolley who gets to play a good guy/father figure for a change.
The reception wasn't very good, but I'm a sucker for those old films.
