RIP: Writer Bob Mott dies at 92


Robert "Bob" Mott, a native of Nyack, born 9.27.1924, passed away, quietly at his home in Arroyo Grande on 9.28.16. In life, Bob was a patriot, husband, father and multi-faceted talented man. He proudly served as a marine in WWII and continued to contribute articles to the Seahorse USS Marine Magazine until he died. After the war, he began his career as a soundman during the golden age of Radio. From there, he went on to become a successful and prolific TV comedy writer. In retirement, he continued writing and published 4 books on radio and early TV. A man of boundless energy, he continued to play competitive tennis, until he was eighty. Bob Mott was a creative force and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Cinda, his 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
